skirt: Zara; sweater: Club Monaco; jacket: Wilfred via Aritzia; necklace: anthropologie; shoes: Jean-Michel Cazabat; bag: Rebecca Minkoff
My dear Friday- where have you been all week?…What’s that? …You’ve been chilling with Saturday waiting for me to join the party?! Apologies for my tardiness, work sidetracked me but I’m here now with bells on…wait…better make that leather, with a touch of leopard (check the shoes).
As this little leather skirt has LEGS, I followed the old adage (you know the one about doing boobs or legs, not both) by pairing it with a light knit to break up the black and a clean, linear jacket to contrast with the flippyness of the skirt. I’m almost ready for a night on the town but I feel like I’m missing something…
…A goofy photo of me dancing!!…Now we’re ready for the weekend. All that’s left is for me to wish you all a fabulous Friday. Consider my work here done!!
Awesome! But I can’t help feeling a little cold just looking at the picture… brrr Fall…
Hah! I know I’m going to have to surrender to tights soon enough but for the time being, I’ll hope my beer jacket can keep me warm
Well hold out as long as you can, cause Fall weather has definitely hit Nova Scotia and it’s coming your way!
Awww, say it isn’t so! I’m hoping to postpone tights until November but with 30 degree temperatures cropping up tomorrow, I may have to cave. I don’t dislike tights per se but it just feels like once you put them on, you are stuck in them for 5 months. Is it springtime yet?!
haha sadly this is true. Oh well, as I posted in my 10 More Reason’s to Smile… Eh? post (http://notsoskinnygenes.com/2012/09/25/10-more-reasons-to-smileeh/) I kinda love dressing in layers
Leather and leopard — love it! But doesn’t the gold get a shout-out too?! Leather, leopard and GOLD! bling bling.
You are too kind
As for the gold, I did consider doing a shout out for it but then I figured I channel Mr. T so frequently that it goes without saying I would never head out for the night, or even for the day, without bling. Thanks for commenting!!!
I wasn’t sure about the skirt but you won me with the dancing picture
It’s a fun outfit that can easily transition to the evening. Have a great weekend!
I was sold on the skirt the second I laid eyes on it. I liked the idea of a material as sturdy and rugged as leather being molded into such a flirty and feminine skirt. Glad you liked the dancing photo- they are always the most fun to take
Happy Friday!
Watch out Victoria Beckham! Here comes Chloe, the Style Sprite! That was my first thought when I saw this post. Second thought: I love this outfit! Have fun this weekend in your fabulous frock! xo
I’m sorry, but I love your hair!
leather and leopard are my two absolute must haves this fall. bang on post!
i just bought a skirt (i’ll post it soon!) and a pair of leather pants.
