sweater: J.Crew; skirt: Hunter Dixon (old); shoes: Stuart Weitzman; necklace: Oia Jules; watch: Michael Kors
Every time I’ve walked past a J.Crew window of late, I’ve been struck by the opulent variety on display. They have pattern on top of texture all in rich, saturated hues the combination of which is effortless and totally swoon-worthy.
When I found a sweater that was like Kermit after a pen battle, I knew I had to pair it with a gilded skirt, the likes of which Miss Piggy would deign to wear. I liked the way colors played off of each other for a really exuberant coupling and yet the variety of texture keeps it from looking too ostentatious.
Obviously, I’m not the only one who thought so. (Another photobomb!!)
But to those of you who may be harboring doubts about these two pieces not relating at all, my skirt has a little surprise for you….
A matching kelly green lining! I know, I know, it’s too perfect to believe just like all the guest stars I’ve had in my photos this week (if somehow you missed this brilliance, check here and here). I’ve had so much fun sharing the spotlight, I hope you’ve enjoyed it too! Have a great weekend!!
I LOVE these two together, even without the green lining! That was just a bonus
