dress: French Connection; shoes: Pour la Victoire; bag: J. Crew; watch: Michael Kors; earrings: DANNIJO
Sometimes when I hit a little patch of writer’s block trying to come up with the copy to accompany my photos, I have to psych myself up and find a little extra pep. Music is often my source of inspiration and for this post, a little MJ was just what I needed to get my mojo back.
As a seven-year-old, my favorite song was Michael Jackson’s ‘Black or White’. (I used to practice the Running Man to it and occasionally add in a little Roger Rabbit- I hope I’m not dating myself too badly here.) Could there be a more appropriate song for this dress? (I’m currently singing ‘it’s black…it’s white..yea yea yeah!).
I love toying with opposites and in this scenario, the contrasting color scheme lends the dress a graphic sharpness that melds brilliantly with the feminine fit-and-flare shape.
I’m sure I could wax on longer about how much I like this dress but the King of Pop is calling and I must work on my moonwalk (personally, I always abstained from his signature crotch-grab). Happy Monday!
I love EVERY THING ABOUT THIS LOOK!! Also loving the hair!!! You should DEF rock this more often!!! Earrings- Perfection!
Thanks lady…you are a ROCKSTAR
Love this look–that dress looks fabulous on you!
I have those shoes from pour la Victoire and they are the perfect basic black pump–couldn’t live without them!
Pour la Victoire has great shoes. I actually have these in black AND grey as they are such a great staple. Thanks so much for your comment!!
I just HAD to comment on how awesome I think the dress is! Very yin and yang indeed.
I am so glad you did! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
#1 This dress is beautiful. #2 I am a HUGE MJ fan. Do you have the Michael Jackson dance experience for the Wii? The dance to “Black or White” is awesome. I don’t recommend doing it in those heels, though.

How I have not heard of this ‘dance experience’…it sounds A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Although that said, I’ve never been one to follow steps when it comes to the dance floor. I think soon I’ll have to start posting photos of my ‘moves’ so we can have a cyber dance-off. Whadya think?!
Challenge accepted.
This dress is stunning!! I love the bag too. But more than anything I love a little MJ!! Wish so badly I would have kept my sequin glove!:)

Ya know, I really don’t feel the same about the sequined glove since Paris Hilton tried to appropriate it!
