It hit me like a thunder bolt when I was organizing my summer stripes review last week that I could no longer rely on cute summery dresses when it came to the sartorial conundrum that is casual Friday. Only one thing could ensue and that was PANIC (caps necessary).
Casual Friday is that one day in the week in corporate America when we get to show our coworkers a glimpse of how awesomely relaxed we want to be are. How was I going to achieve that blend of charmingly cool and effervescently casual that is a requirement of this institution when my coterie of summery frocks is out of commission?
Darling reader, I know you will be relieved to know that my fretting and frowning was completely unnecessary. As I quickly realized, striped fabulousness comes in all seasons. Today its flag-bearer is a little rugby shirt dress. It has a naturally easy vibe but the preppy references help add a conservative touch that’s necessary for the office.

Nice casual dress for the day. As a guy, I’m not happy about the summer ending either. Lol. It’s been great seeing these lovely sundresses (and yours) for these last few months at my job. Yesterday, my boss told me it’s about time for her to put the dresses away and bring out the pants!

Summer is definitely the easiest season to dress for. The layers required for cooler weather make things more complicated although also more interesting. Thanks for your comment!

I initially tried mimicking some Rugby/American Football stances for this post and then realized that wasn’t the best idea given I was in a skirt(!!) so instead I just ran around like a goof (as you do). That said, Friday waits for no (wo)man and I for one am going to make the most of it!
