Wheeeeeeeeeee…it’s Friday and after a week that’s had me going a bit stir-crazy, there is only one thing to do- TWIRL. I couldn’t have picked a more perfect garment for my celebratory spin than this dress, what with its fit-and-flare shape and juxtaposed sections of stripes. With the cooler weather that started to creep in the last few days, I am more aware than ever that there is increasingly limited time to wear a summer garment like this so it’s time to make the most of it (i.e. act like a goofball).
I generally sign off my last post of the week by wishing everyone a Happy Friday but today is not just a Friday- it’s my mum’s birthday. I was mentioning to someone the other day that as a young woman, she worked in fashion in London and they immediately responded with ‘so that’s why you’re so stylish!’ That isn’t even the half of it. I don’t have space or time here to go into how instrumental she has been in nurturing the clotheshorse you see before you or how supportive she has been with this site so I will just wish my most faithful reader a very, very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

shouttwist to get a good shot.Happy birthday, Mom Sprite!! (That’s what you call her, right? You should.) A lovely twirling dress for sure. And by the way, I found that awesome mint watch at Anthro, but alas it is too chunky for me. I have the wrists of a 6-year-old (aka very narrow).
