Today I give you culottes. The strange spawn of shorts and skirts- they often have the practicality of the former but lack the charm of the latter. However, I think this pair have enough cuteness to rise above the potential awkwardness of the center pleated part.
At the beginning of the summer my office issued a memorandum detailing what was appropriate on casual Fridays. My heart sank when I saw ‘shorts’ listed as a prohibited garment but I’m thinking that as these aren’t technically shorts, they could make an appearance this Friday! Is it weird that it is only Tuesday and I am already dreaming of and planning my Friday? At least it isn’t Monday! Have a great day

These pics were taken by my indefatigable mum. I won’t say it was smooth sailing but we managed to surmount various obstacles -the camera misbehaving and several crazy yahoos trying to get in the frame. I will make sure to pass along your compliments!
