I initially titled this post ‘palazzo palaver’. ‘Palazzo’ referred to the wide-legged awesomeness clothing my lower body and, in all honesty, I tacked on the ‘palaver’ because who doesn’t like a little alliteration. Unfortunately the use of the latter word turned out to portend a bit of a kerfuffle as a real palaver (confused activity; hubbub) ensued. I had just finished formatting the photos for this post (it was after 11pm so brain function was already depleting) when I accidentally hit ‘publish’ instead of ‘preview’. I was then informed that my followers (thank you so much for being followers, btw) had been notified of my unfinished post. BALLS! (For anyone wondering, I type ‘lalalala’ into drafts to indicate where I will put copy because when I am staring at photos trying to think of said copy, I generally hum to myself until inspiration strikes.) This whole thing felt like the blogging equivalent of being caught with my pants down. What can you do but laugh at yourself and wait for Friday to come. Wait- today is Friday?! HALLELUJAH!

I’m sure ol’ George behind me is smiling knowing full well that the best victories are often snatched from the jaws of defeat. In honor of him and of my truly stupendous trousers that started this whole crazy post, I think it’s time for a little victory dance…
